On a Day Hike near Paris

make a landing…..

When you get into hiking, you’ll soon want to learn to recognise birdsong too.
These look a lot like relatives of Canadian Geese. I wish I knew more about birds. The more I travel, the more I find I have to learn… :)
Ducks are definitely fun to watch and you captured them perfectly.
How graceful they are. And adorable.
Keep trying, Laurel. We’re trying all the time. And if luck is on your side, it can be great.
Great photos, I love bird watching but never get very good photos.
Love that they got back into formation…don’t think I’ve ever seen that before! Cool!
Very cute! :)
That is so tragic, Leigh. The poor birds.
Made me feel like I was there – great series.
I’m a bird lover so enjoy watching ducks any day, also pelicans and boobys.
On a more sour note I noticed in today’s am paper that thousands of migratory birds (mostly grebes) died on impact mistaking a WalMart parking lot in southern Utah with bodies of water & slamming into the pavement. Storm clouds made the lot look like a flat body of water.
I have no idea, Sophie. We just happened to be crossing the bridge when we saw this spectacle. They should be semi-tame, I suppose.
How nice! We have ducks at our cabin, they even come indoors to get bread. Are these tame?
hahaha Oh I would watch ducks forever. My dream house would have a duck pond!
Great photos, I love ducks…
Great photo series! As a kid I always watched and feed the birds near our house. I always loved watching them land in the water.
I love ducks (who doesn’t!)…These are fantastic shots.
